The type of article should be indicated when sending the article: in the field “Subject” of an e-mail along with the surname of the author (for example, Petoyan – Review).


REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTICLES

General technical requirements

► Provide the text part of the original article by e-mail (by an e-mail or on a carrier), in a “doc” or “docx” format (Word file).

► Page size: A4.

► Margins: 1.5 cm on all sides.

► Do not use page numbers and headers on pages.

► Use footnotes accurately with software, not manually.

► Text field with one column.

► Pages without background images and coloring (background picture, background color):

► Font size: 12 pt.

► Font type: any Unicode type (for example, Tahoma, Sylfaen, GHEA Grapalat or GHEA Mariam).

► Align with “Left”, “right” and “center” equations (align left, align right, align center, full justify) and not with space or tab.

► Avoid using text boxes and word-art if possible.

► Do not use macros.

► Provide tables, graphs, charts, images and formulas with separate files.

► In the case of images, provide every image separately: in jpg, jpeg, png, tiff, tif, psd, eps, ai or in pdf format, with the possibly highest quality.

►Pictures must be sent separately in accordance with special requirements (see below)

Composition of the first page and requirements

► Title: maximum 25 words, completely in capital letters, avoid abbreviations and special characters

► Authors: full surname and initials, for example: Petoyan V.S.

► Institutions: numbered after the name of the author with a pointer. One author can mention few institutions, but firstly mentioned is the one most related to the article (for example, Petoyan V.S.1)

►Contact-author, after whose name and the institution number will be placed “*”, after the list of institutions will be written his full name and contact information (phone, e-mail, etc.) (for example, Petoyan V.S.1, *)

►Word count: the number of words in the original text (from introduction to conclusion)

►Number of tables

►Number of pictures


REFERENCES

While making the references the sorting is made by their appearing order in the article, in square brackets, before the punctuation marks, with the following examples: if one [3], if two: [3,6] or [3,4], and if several following each other: [3-6], mixed version: [4,7-9].

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS ACCORDING TO ARTICLES TYPES

Below are the special requirements by article types.

Original research

The original researches present the results of the research work by showing the relevant statistical analysis.

In addition to the general structural sections, the main part of the article consists of the following subsections:

► Introduction

► Methods

► Results

► Discussion

► Conclusion

Summary size: 300 words (in 3 languages).

Article size: 3000-5000 words (does not include first page content, summaries, references and tables.

The maximum number of references – 40 (use up-to-date and peer-reviewed literature).

Tables and/or pictures in total maximum of 6.

Short communications

The short communications present the results of the research work, presenting the relevant statistical analysis, when they are small in size.

In addition to the general structural sections the main part of the article consists of the following subsections:

► Introduction

► Methods

► Results

► Discussion

► Conclusion

Summary size: 200 words (in 3 languages).

Article size: 1500-3000 words (does not include first page content, summaries, links and tables).

The maximum number of references – 20 (use up-to-date and peer-reviewed literature).

Tables and/or pictures in total maximum of 3.

Literature Review

An overview of the literature on any topic is a conscientious and evidence-based summary of the data.

Summary size: 300 words (in 3 languages).

Article size: 3000-8000 words (does not include: first page content, summaries, links and tables).

The maximum number of references – 80.

Tables and/or pictures in total maximum of 6.

Clinical case

Summary size: 200 words (in 3 languages)

Article size: 1500 words (does not include the first

page content, summaries, links and tables).

The maximum number of references – 15 (use the freshest and peer-reviewed literature).

Tables and/or pictures in total maximum of 3.

In addition to the all above mentioned requirements, clinical cases must be accompanied by a completed and signed consent form from the patient (download here).

Letter to the Editor

Article size: 750 words (does not include the first page content, summaries, links and tables).

Maximum number of references – 5 (use the up-to-date and peer-reviewed literature).

Tables and/or pictures in total maximum of 1.


At the discretion of the editors-in-chief, some deviations from the above mentioned requirements are possible, as well as the publication of other types of articles.
