ABSTRACT
The paper offers a concise examination of the anatomy of the eyelids and the periorbital region, highlighting the clinical and morphological features associated with aging in this facial area. It presents various methods for lower functional and aesthetic blepharoplasty, supported by clinical examples that illustrate the outcomes. A thorough understanding of the topographic and functional anatomy of the lower eyelid, along with the aging processes affecting the entire periorbital region, is essential for selecting the appropriate technique for reshaping the lower eyelid. This knowledge facilitates effective correction of changes in the lateral angle of the eye and the infraorbital area, ultimately leading to satisfactory results.
