Scientific and organizational principles for the creation and operation of multidisciplinary diagnostic centers

ABSTRACT

In their article from 1987, outstanding organizers of Armenian healthcare Emil S. Gabrielyan and Hayk A. Nikoghosyan share their experience of creating multidisciplinary diagnostic centers as scientific-production complexes using the example of the Republican Diagnostic Center in Yerevan. For example, the effectiveness of grouping departments into services directly related to patient examination, organizational and scientific-methodological services, as well as engineering and technical and economic support services was demonstrated. The authors emphasized the special importance of developing and implementing automated information retrieval systems.
