ABSTRACT

This article presents a rare clinical case of intestinal metaplasia (IM) of the urinary bladder involving both ureteral orifices in a 46-year-old male patient. Diagnostic methods, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cystoscopy, and histological examination, confirmed the diagnosis. The importance of differential diagnosis of IM with other bladder neoplasms, as well as the necessity of surgical treatment—transurethral resection—is emphasized. Immunohistochemical analysis results (positive staining for CK7, CK20, and CDX2) confirmed the benign nature of the lesion. The patient was under dynamic follow-up with no signs of recurrence after 3 months.
