Abstract
Endometrial pathology occupies one of the leading positions in the structure of gynecological morbidity, is the most frequent cause serves as the most common cause of abnormal uterine bleeding and an indication for the majority of the intrauterine interventions. Endometrial pathology includes endometrial polyps (EP), which are usually benign formations, but in rare cases (2-13%) can lead to the development of endometrial adenocarcinoma and are considered one of the risk factors for uterine cancer.
The issues of the value of the various diagnostic s methods for diagnosing PE remain debatable.
Most researchers believe that in the presence of EP, it is advisable to remove them under hysteroscopy control (HS) following by the mandatory histological examination to exclude atypia and determine further tactics of patient management. The tactics of patient management depend on the established histological variant of the polyp. It is noted that polypectomy does not exclude the risk of relapse.
Currently, HS is considered as a gold standard for the diagnosis and treatment of polyps due to direct visualization of the uterine cavity. HS not only determines the characteristics of EP, but also makes it possible to immediately remove them in the see and treat mode.
