Surgical treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma in a patient with a rare malformation of the portal vein

ABSTRACT
Hepatocellular carcinoma is the most common (about 90% of cases) malignant tumor of the liver originating from hepatocytes. It has an aggressive course with a high level of complications and deaths. The prognosis is extremely unfavorable: 5-year survival does not exceed 30%. The article describes a clinical case of treatment of hepatocellular cancer in a 64-year-old man with a rare malformation of the portal vein. Performed right-sided hemihepatectomy, cholecystectomy, planar resection of the dome of the diaphragm and planar resection of the right adrenal gland.
